As children under a star-streaked night sky, brothers Mutta and Hibito Nanba shared a singular, audacious promise to travel to space. Years later, life has steered them down wildly different paths. Hibito stands on the precipice of history, training as an astronaut bound for the Moon. Mutta, conversely, has found himself trapped in the mundane frustrations of corporate life, recently fired after a disastrous moment of lost temper. Just as Mutta sinks into despair, a recording from his past childhood rekindles his dormant ambitions. He realizes the race isn't over, and his younger brother has merely taken an early lead.

What follows is an inspiring, meticulously researched journey through the grueling gauntlet of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency selection process. The narrative balances high-stakes technological precision with deeply human comedy and drama. Mutta must shake off his self-doubt, outsmart fierce competitors decades younger, and reclaim his lost childhood dream. The central conflict forces both brothers to chase the cosmos from opposite directions, testing their bond as siblings while they navigate the ultimate frontier of human endurance and ingenuity.

Mutta Nanba anchors the story with his chaotic charm, sharp observational humor, and surprisingly brilliant problem-solving mind. He serves as the underdog viewers instantly root for, turning his insecurities into unexpected strengths. Hibito Nanba contrasts his older brother as a natural-born star, fiercely talented, fearless, and endlessly supportive of Mutta, acting as both a guiding light and a competitive horizon. Their dynamic drives the emotional core of the series, shifting seamlessly from playful sibling rivalry to profound mutual respect across the vast emptiness of space.
