A single bolt of lightning across a stormy night sky can change the course of a lifetime, or in Sasaki’s case, send a piece of the future straight onto his drawing board. As a struggling manga creator on the verge of giving up his dream of serialisation, Sasaki is desperate for a hit that will capture the readers of Weekly Shonen Jump. When a mysterious electrical surge fuses his microwave and socket to deliver a magazine from ten years in the future, he finds himself holding tomorrow’s masterpiece today. Copying the chapters and passing them off as his own launches him into instant stardom, turning a perennial underdog into the industry's most talked-about new genius.

Yet the thrill of unexpected success quickly curdles into a claustrophobic trap of plagiarism and moral panic. The manga he plagiarized belongs to a young, undiscovered creator who has not yet entered the industry, meaning Sasaki’s stolen glory is actively erasing the future artist's career and passion. As the deadlines loom and editors demand more chapters from the mysterious future broadcast, Sasaki must choose between riding a wave of unearned fame or confessing to a paradox that defies logical explanation. The central conflict forces a hard look at the agonizing gap between genuine creative talent and the hollow imitation of greatness.

The tension of the series is driven by the stark contrast between Sasaki and his unwitting rival, a passionate teenager whose future work is being cannibalized chapter by chapter. Sasaki represents the desperate everyman who sold his artistic soul for a taste of validation, haunted every time he looks at the blank pages he is supposed to fill on his own. The editor-in-charge and industry peers add relentless pressure, celebrating a phenomenon built entirely on borrowed time and stolen genius.
