The forest floor is about to witness the most bizarre election in history, where the reigning king of the insect world steps down and leaves the throne up for grabs. Enter Moriking, a tiny stag beetle who suddenly transforms into a remarkably handsome human boy with one absolute goal: to conquer the insect kingdom and become the ultimate king of nature. Shifting seamlessly between slapstick comedy and surprisingly intense bug battles, this quirky series follows the everyday chaos that ensues when an arthropod monarch tries to live a normal human life while constantly defending his right to rule.

The stakes escalate rapidly as rival contenders emerge from the shadows, each possessing supernatural insect-based abilities and their own fierce ambitions for the crown. From formidable rhinoceros beetles to cunning mantises, these challengers infiltrate suburban life, forcing Moriking to balance middle school existence with high-stakes turf wars. Every chapter ramps up the absurdity, blending heartwarming domestic humor with action-packed showdowns that redefine what it means to be the apex predator of the backyard.

At the center of this madness is Moriking himself, whose majestic insect pride contrasts hilariously with his struggles to understand human customs and social cues. Alongside him is Shota, his bewildered human caretaker and roommate, who acts as the straight man to the beetle king's eccentric royal decrees. Their unexpected bond forms the emotional core of the series, anchoring the surreal plot with genuine warmth and loyalty as they face off against an increasingly bizarre lineup of royal hopefuls.
