Humanity has vanished in a blinding flash of green light, leaving every living soul frozen in cold, silent stone. Millennia slip away as nature reclaims the earth, erasing civilization down to its very foundations. Out in the vast emptiness of outer space, a small crew of astronauts watches the apocalypse unfold from the safety of the International Space Station. Among them is Byakuya Ishigami, a man whose brilliant, eccentric mind refuses to surrender to despair. Knowing that his adopted son Senku dreams of rebuilding human science from scratch, Byakuya and his fellow crewmates make a perilous descent back to a completely alien planet.

This companion series expands the horizon of the main timeline, shifting the focus upward to the stars and backward to the dawn of the stone age revival. The central conflict revolves around survival against impossible odds, generational legacy, and the sheer grit required to pass down knowledge through the dark ages. Byakuya and his eclectic band of astronauts must establish a foothold on Earth, laying the crucial groundwork and folklore that will eventually aid Senku thousands of years later. It is a heartfelt exploration of sacrifice, familial bonds, and the enduring flame of human curiosity.

Byakuya Ishigami anchors the narrative as a warm-hearted visionary and adoptive father whose unwavering faith in science and his son drives every action. Alongside him stands Rei, an advanced autonomous helper robot programmed to assist the astronauts, whose loyalty and mechanical dedication play a surprising, emotional role in the survival saga. The dynamic between the human crew and their robotic companion highlights the resourcefulness needed to endure isolation and lay the seeds for a future scientific renaissance.
