Narrative Hook and Plot Overview

The year is 2061, an era where space travel is not only possible but accessible to high school students embarking on planet-camping trips. For the nine students of Caird High School, what should have been an exciting adventure on the planet McPa turns into a terrifying fight for survival. Moments after arriving, a mysterious, glowing sphere of light swallows them whole, transporting them thousands of light-years away into the icy vacuum of space. Miraculously, they manage to board an abandoned, ancient spaceship named the Astra, but the realization of their predicament quickly sets in: they are stranded light-years from home with limited resources and no immediate rescue in sight.

To survive the perilous journey back across the stars, these teenagers must work together to navigate a series of foreign, hostile planets to replenish their food and water. Led by the aspiring explorer Kanata Hoshijima, the group faces not only the deadly environmental hazards of uncharted wildlife but also a much more insidious threat from within. They soon deduce that their near-death experience was no accident; someone among them is a saboteur sent to ensure they never return. Trust becomes a luxury they cannot afford, yet unity is their only chance to uncover the dark conspiracy behind their abandonment and make it back to Earth alive.
