Life inside Hiryuu Castle is a dream of spoiled luxury for Princess Yona, who cares about little beyond her fiery red hair and her childhood crush on her cousin Su-won. That sheltered existence shatters on her sixteenth birthday when a sudden political coup tears her kingdom apart. Betrayed by the person she trusted most, Yona is forced to flee the palace with only her loyal bodyguard, Son Hak, by her side. Stripped of her royal status, she confronts the brutal realities of the Kingdom of Kouka for the very first time.

Driven by a desperate desire to protect her homeland and survive the ruthless purges of the new regime, Yona embarks on a dangerous journey across rugged lands. Guided by an ancient prophecy, she sets out to gather the reincarnations of the four legendary dragon warriors. The struggle forces her to transform from a helpless princess into a fiercely skilled warrior determined to reclaim her destiny. Her path is fraught with moral complexity, political intrigue, and intense battles that will decide the ultimate fate of Kouka.
